Saturday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

When many of us have finally reached zone 3 of our sleep pattern, Myron Mays is perfecting his craft as Memphis’ hot on-air personality heating up the overnight airwaves. On Memphis’ WRBO Soul Classics 103.5, Mays delivers a resurgence of energy for those late night party goers, those third shift workers, and those who just lay awake in the middle of the night and sleep throughout the day. The city of Memphis owes homage to Mays for keeping the city moving in the wee hours of the morning.
In 1994, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Memphis, Mays set out for an ambitious career in radio. He humbly, but cleverly, made the decision to get his feet wet by working free of charge for a small station in exchange for invaluable experience. This ingenious concept secured Mays with his first, paying job in radio with WSAO in Senatobia, MS. Fourteen years passed and opportunity presented itself at his door. Mays eagerly took on the position with WRBO Soul Classics 103.5 as the host of the overnight show “Myron at Midnite.”
A man of innumerable titles, Mays has succeeded as a dynamic orator, writer, event planner and a host of other labels. Not only is Mays an On-Air Personality, but he is also a weekly entertainment Columnist for the Memphis Tri-State Defender. His column “Ask Myron” gives the readers his perspective on the world of entertainment and allows them to write in and ask questions. He even answers those questions at the end of each column.
Amidst all his many roles, Mays finds the time to be involved in professional organizations such as Memphis Association of Black Journalists, the Nexus Leadership Program, MPACT Memphis, and the National Federation of Independent Business Persons. Click here to visit Myron's personal website
